Finally got around to seeing LA LA LAND this week. The film, starring Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone is about two Angelenos who initially meet in overpass traffic. Despite their initial aversion, the two keep bumping into each other and fall in love. LA LA LAND is a sweet, fairy tale filled with enjoyable musical numbers, but I didn't think the film was amazing. And I don't believe it should win the Best Picture Oscar.
It was well-made and beautifully shot. Of course, Ryan Gosling is easy on the eyes, but the real stars of this movie are the music and the city of Los Angeles. The songs are memorable but I was bothered by the "natural" style of singing from the leads. I had hoped for more professional voices. Still, LA LA LAND should win awards for Music. And the various scene locations encapsulate a fine tour of the City of Angels. Overall, I'd give the film a 7 out of 10.
How does everyone else think this movie is going to do at the Oscars?
it is a great movie and lot of cool music...great to watch.
One of the best movies I have seen in years. I've never been a big Ryan Gosling fan but really liked him in this.

OMG if LA LA Land beats Moonlight for Best Picture, I will have GAY RAGE!
Hope Yuri on Ice gets a second season.
The Big Game! Love it, hate it, or is it just about the tight ends!?
I'm not sure about you but I'm not a huge fan of football so, while the game is going on, I'm going to be online chatting with some hot guys. But I'm always down to watch a good halftime show and this year's should knock it out of the park (Wrong sport, I know, I'm such a typical gay guy... ha-ha). Lady Gaga, Tony Bennett, and rumored Beyoncé should definitely be a crowd-pleaser and quite a production seeing as Beyoncé's performance last year was amazing! Since she's pregnant with twins this may be one of her last for a while.
