Daily Crush: Efva Attling's Rainbow Freedom Pendant (worn by Anton Hysen)

By Out.com Editors

Openly gay Swedish-born jewelry designer Efva Attling—who has logged time at H&M and Levi’s—stays plenty current with her stunning, irreverent line of jewelry, which is a favorite for boldfaced names including Madonna and Uma Thurman. She was recently inspired to design a "Rainbow Freedom Pendant" in time for the Sochi Winter Olympics due to Russia's human rights violations against LGBT people.

In fact, the inspiration for the pendant came after the women's high jump world championship in Moscow last year when Emma Green Tregaro painted her nails in the colors of the rainbow flag as a protest to Russia's anti gay laws. On the day of the finals, however, the Swedish athletes association forced her to take the rainbow nail polish away. "You can try to take away my colors but you can never take away my pride!” Attling said in response. The names of the colors are stamped on the metal and 30% of all proceeds go to Hetrick-Martin Institute, the oldest and largest agency in the country that provides services and programs to at-risk LGBTQ youth.

Rainbow Freedom Pendant by Efva Attling, $235, available at EfvaAttling.com

And doesn't soccer stud Anton Hysén look pretty great with it around his neck?
