Premium Personals FAQs

Gay.com Premium Personals offers many advanced features, including unlimited access to member photos, bookmarking and blocking of profiles, unlimited use of Gay.com Chat, Messenger and Video Chat, access to adult content and much more. Only Premium Personals members can reply to other members' profiles.

How do I reply to profiles I like?

When you see a personal you like, just click the "Reply to this profile" link. All replies are sent privately via Gay.com e-mail. A link back to your profile will automatically be included so they can see who you are. Premium Personals subscribers also have full access to alternate contact information, including AIM screen names, e-mail addresses and homepages.

How do I forward my e-mail and personals replies?

Premium Personals subscribers can choose to forward their replies and messages to another address. To have your e-mail automatically forwarded from your Gay.com account to another e-mail address, click E-mail on the left navigation bar or at the top of the Gay.com homepage, then choose "Preferences." You may forward all your Gay.com e-mail, or retain copies in your Gay.com E-mail Inbox.

Can I view all the member photos?

Premium Personals subscribers can view all photos displayed in a profile. Premium Personals subscribers also have the ability to see adult photos, and to receive and send photos privately using Gay.com Messenger. For more information about private photos, click here.

Does my subscription include access to Video Chat?

Yes. As a Premium Personals subscriber, you have unlimited access to Gay.com Video Chat. While anyone can broadcast video, only Premium Personals subscribers can view video. It's part of your subscription, and you have unlimited time -- so get a Web cam and start video chatting!

How do I turn off ads in Chat?

Advertising in chat rooms is turned off by default for Premium Personals subscribers. This means you will not see ads in Chat windows or within the Chat area. You will still see ads when viewing full profiles, searching the personals or when navigating other areas of Gay.com.

Where do I find adult content?

As a Premium Personals subscriber, you now have unlimited access to the adult profiles and photos. Select "Adult" on the Search page to quickly locate and access adult profiles.

What do you mean by "adult?"

Depictions of the naked body, including individuals in sexual postures or activities and sexual engagements between or among individuals, are deemed "adult" and are acceptable for member-publication via the Gay.com Premium Personals product. Every depiction that falls into this category must be identified as "adult" by you, the user. Gay.com reserves the right to identify content or photos included on member profiles as adult. How do I contact my favorite matches?

The easiest way to reply to your favorite profile is via e-mail. You can also contact them by their AIM name or ICQ number if they have included that information.

How do I bookmark my favorite profiles?

If you see a profile you like, you can save it to view later by clicking the "Bookmark" or "Book 'em" link on a member profile. You can review, edit or delete your bookmarked profiles by selecting "My Bookmarks" on the left navigation bar or click Member Center at the top of the Gay.com homepage. If a bookmarked member is currently online, you'll see a "Send private message" link as well.

How do I block profiles?

Tired of seeing the same profile over and over again? You can block the profiles that you don't want to see again. You can edit/delete your block list by choosing the "Blocked Profiles" link on the left navigation bar or by clicking Member Center at the top of the Gay.com homepage. Note: Adding a large number of profiles to your block list can slow down your search results.

How do I view my billing details?

You can review your billing details at any time by selecting the Member Center in the left navigation bar or at the top of the Gay.com homepage. The Billing Information section allows you to review your subscription, change your billing terms and even see the date your subscription renews.

How do I upgrade or change my subscription terms?

It's easy to change your subscription. Click the Member Center in the left navigation bar or at the top of the Gay.com homepage. Then click Edit your billing information. Choose your new plan and click "Make changes." Your new plan will take effect after your current billing cycle ends. You will see a notice on the page confirming your new term.

What is this message: "There is a billing problem with your account"?

This message on the Billing Information page indicates that the renewal charge has been rejected by your credit card issuer. Please check with your financial institution and make sure you have available funds.

If your credit card has a new expiration date, click the "Edit" link to change the expiration information, and enter the new date.

If you'd like to use a new credit card, click the link to "Add another card," and be sure to mark it as your default card.

If you cannot determine the problem with your credit card, click the "How to contact us" link on the Billing Information page and fill out the online help form. This will send an e-mail to our customer service team.

I entered my credit card information and still cannot access the premium features.

It's possible that your subscription request did not complete properly. Click the "Member Center" link on the left navigation bar or at the top of the Gay.com homepage. If the link "Subscribe to Premium Personals" is visible in the "Manage Your Account" section, click it and select your subscription term. Then follow the links to confirm your subscription. Once you've completed your subscription, an order confirmation will be sent by e-mail, and you will have access to the Premium Personals features. You may also click the "How to contact us" link on your "Billing Information" page if you continue to experience problems.

Can I transfer my Premium Personals service to another member name?

Premium Personals subscriptions cannot be transferred between different member names. If you use more than one Gay.com member name, each member name must have a separate Premium Personals subscription. We suggest you purchase Premium Personals for your favorite member name. Be sure to choose carefully.

What forms of payment are acceptable?

We accept Visa, MasterCard and American Express. We do not accept checks, money orders or the Discover card. As an online service, we cannot process transactions over the phone or in person. Always check with your financial institution if you are having problems with your credit card.

Is my online credit card transaction secure?

Yes! Your information is entered and stored on a secure server. If your Web browser is set up for security when purchasing products or services on Gay.com, you will be asked for your credit card, billing and shipping information. This information is transmitted using a secure, encrypted form. You can see that the transaction is secure from the fact that the URL begins with the secure address https:// or with a "lock" or "key" icon at the bottom of your Web browser. We ensure encryption through the use of standard SSL encryption technologies.

Why does it say my credit card is invalid?

Please be sure to enter your credit card number without spaces or dashes (-) and click any "Submit" or "Confirm" button on the page.

Click the "Submit" or "Confirm" button only once. Depending on current traffic, a response from our server may take a few moments, so please be patient.

If you continue to experience problems, click "How to contact us" on your Billing Information page to send an e-mail to our customer service staff.

How do I cancel my Premium Personals subscription?

You can cancel your subscription at any time by clicking here or by visiting the Member Center. Click "Cancel your Premium subscription" and follow the screen prompts presented to you. After you submit your cancellation, you will see a notice on your "My Billing" page that the subscription will be cancelled at the end of your current billing cycle.

You will receive an e-mail confirmation of your cancellation. The confirmation is sent to the address you provided on your Member Center page. You will continue to have access to all the great features of Gay.com Premium Personals until the end of your current billing cycle.

After submitting your cancellation request, be sure to check the e-mail address on your "Member Center" page to confirm receipt of the cancellation.

To reactivate your subscription before it expires, click the Member Center link in the left navigation bar or at the top of the Gay.com homepage. Click "Reactivate my subscription" and follow the screen prompts.

What is a promo code?

A promo code is a special promotional offer for Gay.com premium services. Promo codes may include a discounted rate, a free period, or a gift with purchase. Some promo codes are offered to new customers only, some to existing customers only, or may even be offered to members residing in certain countries or cities only.
