If you have any questions or concerns about photos that aren't answered here, please e-mail us at feedback@gay.com.

I'm trying to upload a photo and it's not working.

If the photo does not upload correctly, the file may be too large or it may be an invalid file type. Photos must be 5 MB or less and be in BMP, GIF, JPG, JPEG or PNG format. If the file is too large, you will need to resize it.

To check file size on a PC:

  • Right click on your file.
  • Select "Properties" from the menu items.
  • The size of the file is displayed on the "General" tab.

To check file size on a Mac:

  • Select the file
  • Select "Get Info" from the File Menu
  • The size will be listed
  • NOTE: Alternatively, you can select the file and hit Command + "I" for Get Info or right click on the file and select Get Info.

What adult photos are allowed, and what is not allowed?

Any member, 18 years or older, can upload adult photos to their profile, but only GAY.COM Premium subscribers can see them. If you do not identify an adult photo as being adult, GAY.COM will do it for you. You may also make an adult photo private if you want more control over who can see it.

Please see our Community Guidelines for more information on Adult photographs.

How can I see other people's Private Photos?

Choose a private photo you'd like to view and a message will be sent to the person, asking permission for you to view their private photos. If the member chooses to allow you to view, you will receive a return message granting access to the photo. NOTE: The ability to see other member's private photos is only available with a Premium subscription to GAY.COM.

I sent someone a request to view their photos and I haven't heard back.

If someone chooses to decline your request to view their private photos, a notification won't be sent to you. If you have not heard back within 48 hours the person may not be interested in sharing their photos at this time.

I want to be bigger! Why are my photos smaller than those on some other profiles?

Member-uploaded images can be up to 5MB in size. Our largest display size is 572 x 572 pixels (the size as it appears on your photo detail page). If the images you uploaded are not displaying at that size, it could be because your photo source file is of a smaller size. Simply delete the smaller photo file from your Gay.com profile and upload a larger photo file to see it display in the larger size. Square images will display the best. Edit your photos now.
