Did you know sleeping naked is good for you? Seriously, it is! A recent study conducted by Cotton USA revealed that couples that sleep in the buff have happier relationships, more sex and stronger bonds. Amazingly, despite the benefits, very few people sleep nude. In fact, only 8 percent of Americans strip down before climbing into bed. Weird, right?
In addition to being naturally sexy, sleeping naked has many rewards. From losing fat to looking younger, naked naps can significantly improve your life and relationship.
So, what are the some of the perks of nude snoozing?
Look and feel younger: Sleeping naked allows your body to stay cool and promotes the release of anti-aging hormones like melatonin. Why spend all that money on Botox, when you can just sleep nude?
More sex: Ask your partner to strip down and cuddle up. Skin-on-skin contact promotes the release of the love hormone oxytocin and boosts the urge for intimacy. Who doesn’t want that?
Lose fat: That’s right; sleeping naked can help you shed a few pounds. Apparently, when you’re naked, your cortisol levels drop, which cuts the amount of belly fat your body produces. It’s like really low-impact cardio.
Better sleep: When you sleep naked, your temperature lowers, which prevents you from waking up in the middle of the night. If you’re like me, going back to sleep after waking up can be a total nightmare.
Wake up refreshed: Sleeping naked will help you wake up feeling refreshed and alert.
Because nakedness often entails sex, it can be tricky to persuade your partner to ditch their duds and cuddle up after a long day at work. Fortunately, you can tie them to the bed and help them undress.
