Even though it's not currently on the air, Downton Abbey continues to break our heart and lift our spirits.
Along with news that Siobhan Finneran (super-bitchy lady's maid O'Brien) wouldn't be returning for season 4 — not to mention those actors whose beloved characters died last season — and that Shirley MacLaine will reprise her role as Martha Levinson, it was announced that British hotties Tom Cullen and Julian Ovenden will also liven up the cast of the hit period drama.
Ovenden will play artisocrat Charles Blake while Cullen will play Lord Gillingham, an old family friend of the Crawleys who visits Downton Abbey as a guest for a house party and will presumably serve as a new love interest for the mourning Lady Mary.
Ovenden played gay opposite Nathan Lane in Broadway's Butley, but Cullen famously starred opposite out actor Chris New in Weekend, the Outfest Award-winning 2011 British film about two gay guys who meet at a London nightclub and spend the next 48 hours having hot sex, sharing their stories, and baring their souls.
We look forward to much more sex and baring when Downton Abbey returns to U.S. airwaves.
Shirley MacLaine, Julien Ovenden, and Siobhan Finneran; Tom Cullen at top.
